My name is BranMan and it is my aim to submit numerous quality articles which I hope you enjoy reading. Although I care about game achievements and scores as much as anyone, I consider myself a more laid back gamer who enjoys games purely for fun. My favourite type of game would have to be RPGs, particularly Fable II, which I found to be a terrific balance of fantasy, adventure and comedy. I'm also quite an Assassin's Creed fan. I look strongly forward to the future of games, which I think will include better graphics, gameplay, and controls. Right now I am looking strongly looking forward to Fable III, which is just on the horizon. Please feel free to leave comments or the contact me by e-mail. Thanks for reading my entries.
Hey there, my name's David and I'm going to be writing articles that focus mainly on the PS3 as this is my preferred console, despite also owning a Nintendo Wii (which I don't use much and, to put it bluntly, think is pretty rubbish). I hope to one day enter the video games journalism industry and write for a magazine, so writing for Game Hub should give me good preparation for that. Unlike most people, I'm not a massive fan of first person shooters (though I do still play them from time to time). I tend to play action/adventure games such as Uncharted 2, as well as racers and sports games like Burnout and the PES series. I'm looking forward to what Sony have in store for the future, as well as how the console 'war' will turn out! I look forward to writing more for the site , David.
I’ve just finished uni with a 2.1 in Film & Media with Journalism. Now I'm going to spend my free time trying to get into the videogames journalism trade. I’m hoping to get noticed and one day get paid for what I do, at a magazine or website. I wrote for my uni's magazine for three years, with my final year as the Deputy Editor of the entertainment section. I also currently work as a copy writer for a branding agency. I have completed a weeks self-initiated work experience at PlayStation World (PSW) magazine which resulted in a review of mine getting published. More recently I attended a press launch party in London on the behalf of game-hub.co.uk. I’ve been gaming since the cassette-loaded craptacular Commodore 64 in the 80s, but I really fell in love with it with the Sega Mega-Drive and Sonic. Nowadays, I’m all over anything PlayStation old or new. Once in a blue moon I drag out the PSP or Wii under the agreement it won't be crap or cause me physical injury. I’ll probably invest in a 360 soon to ‘expand my career opportunities,’ (play Gears of War).
Since I fired up my Nintendo 64 for the first time over ten years ago I’ve been hooked on gaming. However it wasn’t until I graduated from the likes of Super Mario and Bomberman to gaming behemoth Zelda the Ocarina of Time that I realised just how entertaining, engrossing and life consuming gaming can be. Since then I’ve pretty much played every major game out there and with the exception of some really horrific titles which will remain unnamed, I`m looking at you Turok, I’ve enjoyed them all in one way or another.Currently I’m in my second year of A levels studying Media and English language, and hope to earn a degree in Journalism at university next year. Once I’m finished academically I hope to pursue a full time career in games journalism, which is why any time I have that isn’t taken up by school work or social activities is spent writing about and playing the backsides off of games.
Having graduated with a 2.1 degree in Sports and Exercise science two years ago, I am currently working a nice little dead end job while I try and get the money together to study either teaching or journalism. Would love to work in the industry one day. I owe my gaming interest to the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. At the age of 7, I was obsessed with the heroes in a half shell and when I saw a Turtles game had been released on the NES, the obsession began. If it wasn't for them, I doubt I would have ever even owned a console, let alone still be gaming 17 years later! With the exception of early Championship Manager games and Dungeon Keeper, I'm a console gamer. Will give any sort of game a try, prefer FPSs and sports games though. All time favourite game series is the Pro Evo soccer series, however the past few have been truely awful, and have lead to me jumping ship to the dreaded FIFA! I'm hopeful that this will be the year Konami turn it around, but then i've been saying that for 3 years now! Other all time favourites include Mario 64, Resident Evil 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA San Andreas, Bioshock and COD4.Games i'm looking forward to in the next few months are Batman:Arkham Asylum, Ghostbusters (i'm a 360 guy so had to wait!), COD:MW 2, Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and the yearly updates for Madden and FIFA.When not glued to the 360, other interests include sports (playing and coaching), reading and films.
Having the majority of my childhood playing the Atari 2600, and subsequently owning every console under the sun up until my beloved Xbox 360 (although I swear if it breaks again I will give up games altogether and become a monk!). All this time well spent playing games has developed a passion for playing, writing and arguing about games, and as such it's something I'd quite like to be paid for one day!My current digital loves are MMOs, having started out on Guild Wars and the five year Warcraft habit that followed. I would love to say I've been clean for 4 months now, but the new expansion announcements has somehow (!) caused the current patch to start downloading as I write this. Adventure games are generally my bag, and whilst I've had some quite spiffing moments online in Halo 3 and Battlefield 1943, I generally wet myself in panic once someone starts shooting at me. I maintain that Beyond Good and Evil is one of the greatest games ever made, and the fact that it was relatively ignored, plus the recent announcement that a sequel has been delayed indefinitely, makes me so angry I may have an underwear related accident.I still cling feebily onto the hope that my various dance cum comedy videos of myself may make me an internet celebrity, however I fear this temporary dead end job I started five years ago will probably come to define me in years to come.I am impossibly cool, have short man syndrome, and think welfare epics have ruined things.
